A man who tried to kill a Tesco shopper with a machete in a "revenge attack" for the murder of Fusilier Lee Rigby has been given a life sentence.

Zack Davies, 26, of Mold, targeted Dr Sarandev Bhambra at a store in Flintshire, in a racially motivated assault andwas convicted of attempted murder at Mold Crown Court.

Redbridge police, external have issued a warning to taxi-drivers in the borough following a spike in the number of knifepoint robberies, external.
They believe the same group of people has been responsible for at least 12 robberies in the past month, with drivers targeted late at night and in the early hours.

The initial report on the British Airways plane which caught fire at a Las Vegas airport suggests part of an engine broke off, smashing through the casing and landing on the runway.
