Job Description And DutiesAre you seeking an exciting and rewarding opportunity in physical security operations where you can implement improvements that support Caltrans employees, facilities, and the environment? The newly established Enterprise Facilities Management Office is seeking highly motivated and skilled professionals to join our team. Our mission is to support and enhance facilities management and security operations across Caltrans by implementing innovative organizational improvements, and we are dedicated to doing so in a collaborative work environment. As a team member, you will implement effective strategies and solutions that support Caltrans' employees and the environment.
Under the general direction of the Enterprise Facilities Manager (Staff Services Manager II), within the Division of Business Operations (DBO), Enterprise Facilities Management Office (EFMO), Statewide Security Operations is responsible for serving as the subject matter expert for physical security matters statewide. This includes formulating procedures, policies, and program alternatives regarding contract security guards, video monitoring (CCTV) systems, intrusion alarms and access control systems, customer relations, security awareness training, resource management, and providing guidance and direction to Headquarters and statewide District Offices. The incumbent will work in a team environment regarding policies and procedures for implementation of the departmental security program and establishing both immediate and long-term security goals, objectives, and requirements. Duties include but are not limited to providing technical advice on all security related topics, supporting and/or coordinating initiatives and projects, and performing analysis and other research as needed to enhance the security at all Caltrans buildings.
